Hero Moto Corp has unveiled the Xtreme 160R in the Indian market. The Hero Xtreme 160R has been officially launched in India. The New Xtreme comes with a BS6 compliant engine and single-channel ABS setup. The price of Hero Xtreme 160R in India starts at Rs 1.03 Lakhs.

Design And Colors.
The new Xtreme 160R looks fresh and attractive. Hero is trying to target the youth audience with stylish products with a competitive price tag. As of now, Hero Moto Corp has revealed only two color options, White and Red. The design of the Xtreme resembles to it’s elder sibling Xtreme 200R. It looks stylish and edgy in both the colors especially in the white.

The front features a sleek all-LED headlamp with a 3D hero emblem on the headlamp Upper Housing. It has a small windscreen that covers the Instrument cluster. Both the white and red colours are complimented with black bits that add more aesthetic appeal to the bike. It is equipped with an LED turn signal and tail lamp.
The Xtreme 160R is available in three colour options white with grey, red with grey and blue with grey. We can safely say that the Xtreme 160R is one of the best looking commuter bikes right now. It has a sharp and modern looking design.

Engine and Performance
Now, coming to the performance, Hero Xtreme 160R is equipped with a 160cc single-cylinder, Fuel-Injected, Air-cooled, BS-6 engine. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The Xtreme 160R comes with a BS6 compliant engine.

The Motor is capable of producing 15 bhp of maximum power at 8,500 RPM and 14 Nm of peak torque. It will provide an overall package of performance and mileage. Hero claims that the Xtreme 160R can do 0-60 KMPH in 4.7 seconds. The top speed of Xtreme 160R would be 115 KMPH Approx.
Other Features
Hero Xtreme 160R is equipped with a 37 MM telescopic front forks and a hydraulic mono-shock at the rear. The braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both the front and rear wheels. It has a single-channel ABS setup onboard. The front disc is 276 mm in diameter, while the rear disc is 220mm in diameter.

The curb weight of the Xtreme 160R is 138.5 Kg which makes it easier to handle and maneuver in heavy traffic conditions. Hero Xtreme 160R has a ground clearance of 170mm
It is equipped with an all-LED headlamp, LED taillights and LED turn signals. The bike uses a fully digital instrument cluster that shows all the necessary information. It also gets a slide stand engine cut off switch that is completely new in the hero bikes.
