Bajaj Platina 125 Overview
The new Bajaj Platina 125 mostly carries the same design as the older model. It gets new paint schemes, new graphics and decals as cosmetic updates. The new model features matte finish alloy wheels, matte finish black silencer, clear lens headlamps and sporty instrument cluster. Now, it looks more appealing and fresh compared to the older model.
It is equipped with a 124.6cc single-cylinder engine. The powertrain on the new Bajaj Platina 125 has also been updated. The new model produces 8.5 hp of maximum power at 7,000 RPM and 10 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 RPM. Both power and torque output of the Platina 125 has been reduced due to stricter emission norms.
The Bajaj Platina 125 features a hydraulic telescopic front fork and SNS type dual rear hydraulic shock absorbers. The front end travels around 125mm while the rear end travels 100m. Braking duties on the Platina 125 are taken care of by a 110mm drum brake at both the front and rear wheel.
It offers a ground clearance of 160mm and the seat height of Platina 125 is 785mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres and the kerb weight is 110 Kg. The Bajaj Platina 125 offered the perfect combination of mileage and power making it a great bike for commuting. However, in terms of build quality and engine refinement, its competitors from Hero, and Honda had an upper hand. Overall it was a good bike and it is still available in the second-hand market.
