Last year at the EICMA show, Royal Enfield revealed a stunning concept bike named, Bobber 838 (Concept KX). The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 was a showstopper for the Indian manufacturer at EICMA. The concept took the motorcycling community by storm and now everyone is eager to see a production-ready version of this beautiful bike.

The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 is going to be the most powerful and feature-loaded bike from the Enfield stable. The test bike had a more practical design compared to the concept model shown. However, it is still not clear, whether the test bike spotted had an 838cc engine or a 650cc engine.

There is also a possibility that the production-ready version of the Royal Enfield bobber bike might feature a 650cc parallel-twin engine, instead of an 838cc V-Twin. As the production-ready variant of the Royal Enfield bobber 838 KX concept has already been spied, The brand might launch this bike in India next year.

Royal Enfiled will try it price it very competitively like the 650 twins to attract a wider range of audience. If it is priced like it 650cc sibling then it will be another successful product from Royal Enfield stable. If the Royal Enfield Bobber is launched with an 838cc engine then it might be priced within the 6 lakhs margin and if it is launched with a 650cc engine then it might be priced below 3.5 lakhs. Quick Overview Of the Royal Enfiled Bobber

The design of the bobber 838 is based on the KX 1140. It has the same bobber type design with low seat height, fat tyres and round headlamps. The Bobber 838 concept has a perfect combination of retro design and modern equipment. The production-ready design will look much simpler than the concept version.

The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 will be equipped with an 838cc V-twin, air-cooled engine. It will be the third twin-cylinder bike from Royal Enfield stable. The power & torque figures are not revealed yet, but we expect it to produce 70-80 HP of max power and 80-90 Nm of peak torque.

The engine will be mated to a six-speed gearbox like the 650cc twin. The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 will the most powerful bike from the Enfield lineup, replacing the Interceptor and Continental GT. It will be powerful enough to cruise at triple-digit speed on the highway with ease. The mileage output will be on the lower side, due to the bigger and powerful engine.

The Royal Enfield Bobber 838 will be equipped with a USD front fork and dual hydraulic rear shock absorbers. To stop this beast, Royal Enfield will use ByBre callipers dual disc brakes at the front wheel and ByBre callipers single disc brakes at the rear wheel. It will come with BOSCH Dual-Channel ABS as a standard offering.

It will be loaded with premium equipment like a fully-digital instrument cluster, LED lighting and single-sided swingarm. The concept version of the Royal Enfield Bobber 838 features a unique round LED headlamps and LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity. These features might be retained on the production-ready version.

The Bobber KX from Royal Enfield is undoubtedly a great concept and it has already garnered a lot of attention. Royal Enfiled has already started working to make this a reality. Obviously, the production-ready version of the Royal Enfield bobber will have some cut downs to keep the price in check. It is unclear whether it will come with a 650cc or 838cc engine. A smaller capacity engine derived from its 650cc sibling will help Royal Enfield to price it very competitively.

If the Royal Enfield Bobber is priced like its siblings in the 3-4 Lakhs range then it will have a large number of potential buyers. Also, Royal Enfield may cut down on some premium equipment like USD forks and single-seat layout to make it more affordable and attract a wider range of audience.
