XSR700 is mostly based on its successful naked sibling the Yamaha MT 07, however, it is a lot different in terms of engine characteristics and rideability. XSR700 has a taller & wider stance and swept-back handlebars, that gives the rider a proper upright riding position. The parallel-twin motor packs a punch and the power delivery is linear, that allows the rider to use the entire rev band smoothly.

It has a compact design and shorter wheelbase than its naked sibling MT07, which makes it nimble and easy to handle. XSR700 will be easily manageable in traffic while also providing stability at high speed.

The front forks are now on the stiffer side as compared to the old model. Dual 282mm front disc brakes provide the adequate stopping power and now it comes with dual-channel ABS as standard. It comes with a simple round LCD console that provides all the necessary information.

Overall it is a good middleweight at this price point. If you are looking for a retro-styled good looking with an engaging and punchy engine then XSR700 will not disappoint you.
