Aprilia GPR 250 Overview
Design & Styling: The design of the Aprilia GPR 250 is inspired by its bigger sibling the RSV4. It comes with a fully-faired body design that looks very premium. It has the signature Aprilia dual-headlamp design with DRL’s. Overall the GPR 250 looks sleek and premium, and it is one of the best looking 250cc supersport out there.
Engine & Transmission: The Aprilia GPR 250 is equipped with a 249.2cc single-cylinder, DOHC engine. It comes with a fuel-injected engine and liquid cooling system. The GPR 250 comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is not as powerful as the other premium single-cylinder 250cc bikes like KTM RC250 and Svartpilen 250.
Performance, Top Speed & Mileage: It churns out 26.5 HP of maximum power at 9,000 RPM and 22 Nm of peak torque at 7,500 RPM. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Aprilia GPR 250 has a top speed of 140+ Kmph. It has a mileage output in the range of 33-36 Kmpl.
Frame, Suspension: & Brakes This quarter-litre supersport is based on a perimeter frame just like its sibling the Aprilia GPR 150. The suspension duties on the Aprilia GPR 250 is taken care of by a 41mm USD front forks at the front end and a hydraulic mono-shock at the rear end. It comes fitted with a 300 mm disc brake at the front wheel and a 218 mm disc brake the rear wheel.
Wheels, Tyres & Dimensions: The Aprilia GPR 250 comes with 17-inch alloy wheels at both the ends. It runs on 100/80-17 tyre upfront and 130/70-17 tyre at the rear. The width of the rear tyre is narrow as compared to other bikes in its class. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14 Litres and its kerb weight is 150 kg.
Lighting & Instrument Console: It features the same dual-headlamps setup like the other Aprilia bikes. The tail-light is a LED unit while the turn indicators are conventional bulb types. The Aprilia GPR 250 comes with a digital-analogue instrument cluster, where the tachometer is analogue, while the rest of the information is served on a digital screen.
Misc Features: It comes with an underbelly exhaust that helps in mass centralisation and also compliments the overall design of the bike.
