Suzuki GSX-R150 Overview
Design & Styling: The new Suzuki GSX-R150 comes with a sharp-looking fully-faired body design. Its design is inspired by its bigger GSX-R series siblings. It is offered in four exciting paint schemes to choose from. A Suzuki insignia runs through its side panels and fairing that looks very sporty. The GSX-R150 looks sleek and sporty and it is one of the best looking bikes in the 150cc class.
Engine & Transmission: This mini supersport is powered by a 147.3 cc single-cylinder, DOHC engine. The 4-Valve DOHC engine has a compression ratio of 11.5:1 and it uses electronic fuel injection system for fuel supply. Its engine is cooled via a water cooling mechanism. The Suzuki GSX-R150 comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox but it misses out on slipper clutch like its competitor R15 V3.
Performance & Mileage: The Suzuki GSX-R150 churns out 18.90 HP of maximum power at 10,500 RPM and 14 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 RPM. It has a top speed of more than 136 km/hr and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h under 12 seconds. Suzuki claims a mileage output of nearly 47 km/l for this supersport bike.
Brakes & Suspension: It comes with petal disc brakes at both the wheels like its bigger sibling the Suzuki GSX250R. Suzuki also offers an ABS variant, which is priced slightly higher than the base variant. The Suzuki GSX-R150 gets a telescopic front fork to keep the cost in check. At the rear, it gets swingarm linked hydraulic mono-shock absorber.

Dimensions: The Suzuki GSX-R150 is one of the lightest bikes in its class. Even though it is a fully-faired bike, it weighs only 131 kg. It has a wheelbase of 1,300 mm and it offers a ground clearance of 160 mm. Its seat height is only 785 mm and it has a fuel tank capacity of 11 litres.
Wheels & Tyres: It comes equipped with 17-inch cast aluminium alloy wheels. The GSX-R150 runs on 90/90-17 tyre upfront and 130/70-17 tyre at the rear. Both the front and rear tyre are tubeless. The tyre width is narrow as compared to the other 150cc supersport bikes in its segment.
Lighting: Suzuki GSX-R150 comes with a LED headlamp, that provides decent illumination and it also gives the bike a modern touch. It also gets two LED pilot lamps that are neatly integrated near the headlamp housing. The taillamps are LED units, while the turn indicators are simple bulb type.

However, the Gixxer SF is more of a sports commuter bike than a supersport. Hence to compete with the R15 V3 in the Indian market Suzuki could launch the GSX-R150 in India soon.
