Yamaha MT-25 Overview
The MT-25 comes with an aggressive-looking design inspired by its bigger siblings the Yamaha MT-10 and MT-09. It gets a stylish LED projector headlamp with two sleek LED DRLs that gives it an alien-like face. It is offered in three colour options to choose from along with a newly added pastel dark grey colour. The Yamaha MT-25 looks sharp and it is one of the best-looking streetfighters in its class.
The MT-25 is powered by a 249cc inline-2 cylinder engine that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine of this streetfighter is liquid-cooled and it uses an electronic fuel-injection system for fuel supply. It produces 35.5 HP of maximum power at 12,000 rpm and 23.6 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. The Yamaha MT-25 has a top speed of around 160 km/h and its combined mileage output is nearly 32 km/l.
It is based on a lightweight diamond frame and it comes with cast alloy wheels. The suspension duties on the MT-25 are taken care of by an Inverted fork at the front end and a hydraulic mono-shock at the rear end. For braking, it relies on a 298 mm disc brake at the front wheel and a 220 mm disc brake at the rear wheel. The new Yamaha MT-25 comes with dual-channel ABS as a standard like the bigger the MT-03.
Its kerb weight is 169 kg and its fuel tank capacity is 14 litres. The MT-25 has a seat height of 780 mm and it offers a ground clearance of 160 mm. This streetfighter runs on a 110/70-17M/C (54S) tyre up front and a 140/70-17M/C(66S) tyre at the rear. Yamaha MT-25 comes loaded with modern features like full LED lighting and a fully digital multifunction instrument console.
Yamaha MT-25 Price in India & Launch Date
The latest model of the MT-25 has been launched in certain countries. But as of now, Yamaha Motors India has not revealed any details regarding its launch in India. Currently, the market of premium 250cc streetfighter bikes is booming in India and Yamaha might benefit from it if they launch the MT-25.
If this streetfighter is launched in India in near future then it will carry a premium price tag. The Yamaha MT-25 price in India is expected to be around Rs 2.70 Lakhs INR (Ex-Showroom Price). If launched it will be the smallest and cheapest twin-cylinder bike from Yamaha in the Indian market.

Its powerful twin-cylinder engine offers great performance as well as decent mileage output. The high revving engine of Yamaha MT-25 is refined and it offers crisp power delivery across the rev band. It is very lightweight and it also handles really well.
It is stable at high speed and it is very nimble that makes it perfect for city commutes. This streetfighter has comfortable ergonomics that allows it to be used for occasional touring.
